Four businesses, told honestly: how it goes today, and what changes.

Car dealers

Collecting financing documents on behalf of the finance company

How it goes today

A customer wants a car on hire purchase. You photograph their IC, driving licence and salary slip so the finance company can assess them. The photos go over WhatsApp, the application is approved, everyone moves on.

Two years later those photos are still on the phone, in the thread, and in a folder called hp customers. Nobody decided to keep them — nobody decided anything.

With PDPO Go

  • Your customer uploads the documents themselves, from their own phone, on a form that says what they are for. The camera opens straight to the back lens.
  • You choose how long you need the copies. On that date they destroy themselves — and if the schedule ever runs late, the app refuses to open them anyway.
  • What remains is the record: what each document was, when it arrived, when it went, and whether a person or the schedule destroyed it. Nothing about what it showed.
  • The customer gets a withdrawal link with their consent, so you never have to handle that by hand either.

The same setup works for rental deposits, employment onboarding and insurance claims — anywhere you handle documents on their way to a third party.

More on consent and destruction

Cafés & restaurants

A lucky draw that fills the room — and proves itself

How it goes today

A box on the counter, paper slips, and a phone video of somebody’s hand going in. The winner is announced on Instagram with their full name, and two people in the comments say it was fixed.

With PDPO Go

  • Entries come in by QR — from the counter, the window, a poster across town. Customers enter on their own phone in under a minute.
  • Before the draw runs, the entry list is sealed. The randomness comes from a public source nobody involved controls, named in advance.
  • You draw it full-screen on the shop TV, wheel and all. Any entrant can redo the arithmetic afterwards and get your winners.
  • Winners’ names are published only if you said you would — and every entrant’s details land in your customer list with what they agreed to.

The same draw works for a giveaway at an event, a grand-opening raffle, or a prize for signing up.

How the draw proves itself

Retail shops

The WhatsApp broadcast list, sorted out at last

How it goes today

Four hundred numbers collected over five years — from receipts, a competition, people who once asked about stock. You send every promotion to all of them and hope, because nobody wrote down who agreed to what.

With PDPO Go

  • Import the file. Everyone lands in your customer book — under “No consent on file”, because a number in a spreadsheet is not somebody agreeing to hear from you.
  • Send a consent link or run a draw, and watch people move across to “Can message”.
  • That list is computed from what each person actually agreed to, every time you look. Someone withdraws, and they leave it on their own.
  • At the counter, find anyone by any part of their number — 2345, 871 and 0871 all find +673 871 2345.

The same list works for a loyalty scheme, a mailing list, or the contacts that live in the shop phone.

What the customer list does

Clinics, salons & services

Bookings, cameras and the details you take every day

How it goes today

Names, numbers and sometimes an IC written in the diary at reception. A camera above the door since the break-in, with no sign saying so. Nobody has ever been asked what any of it is for.

With PDPO Go

  • Bookings taken on a form that says what the details are used for, in English and Bahasa Melayu, with the time each person agreed.
  • A notice-style consent written for cameras on your premises, so the sign at the door matches what you actually do.
  • A public Trust Centre page you can point anyone to when they ask what you hold about them.

The same setup works for gyms, tuition centres, workshops — any premises with a diary at the front desk.
